Breakthrough Pilates is a Classical Pilates studio in West Hollywood, located at:

What are your studio hours?
Our Pilates studio hours are:
  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 am – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday–Sunday: 6:00 am – 5:00 pm

Parking & Studio Access

Where can I park?
For Pilates classes at our West Hollywood studio, you can use:
  • Street & metered parking around Santa Monica Blvd
  • Three reserved Breakthrough Pilates parking spots across the street, marked with our logo
How do I access the studio?
We are located upstairs. The downstairs door:
  • Unlocks at :45 each hour
  • Locks at :05 each hour
Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure smooth entry and start class on time.

What to Wear & How to Prepare

What should I wear to Pilates?
Wear form-fitting workout clothes that support movement and allow your instructor to see your alignment. Avoid loose shorts and clothing with zippers or hardware that could catch on the apparatus.
Are grip socks required?
Yes. Grip socks are required for all in-studio classes at Breakthrough Pilates — no exceptions. If you forget a pair, we have grip socks available for purchase in the studio shop.
What should I bring to my session?
For your first or regular session, we recommend:
  • Grip socks
  • Water
  • Any notes about injuries, surgeries, or limitations
A light snack 1–2 hours before class is ideal so you feel energized but not overly full.

I’m new to Pilates. How should I start?
Great beginner options at Breakthrough Pilates:
  • New Client Private Lesson 3-Pack for one-on-one attention
  • New Client Practically Private 3-Pack for small-group Classical Pilates (up to 4:1)

What’s the difference between Private and Practically Private?
Private Lessons (1:1) – Fully customized sessions focused on your goals, history, and current level.

Practically Private Classes (up to 4:1) – Small-group Classical Pilates with plenty of hands-on attention and a more social feel, at a lower price point than private lessons.

Massage Therapy & Recovery

Do you offer massage therapy?
Yes. Breakthrough Pilates offers massage therapy in West Hollywood with a California-Licensed Massage Therapist. Our sessions integrate deep tissue, corrective work, and recovery-focused bodywork to support your Pilates practice and overall well-being.

Yes. Certified Pilates instructors can rent the Breakthrough Pilates studio and Classical Gratz apparatus to work with their own clients in West Hollywood.

Class Levels

Which classes are best for advanced students?
Advanced clients often enjoy:
  • Advanced Reformer
  • Wunda Chair
  • Other higher-level Classical Pilates apparatus work
These offerings require prior experience and instructor approval. Not sure where you fit? Ask your instructor after class and they’ll guide you to the right level.

Booking & Cancellations

What is your cancellation policy for group classes?
Group classes (including Practically Private) must be cancelled at least 12 hours before class time to keep your credit and reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows will forfeit the class credit.
What is your cancellation policy for private lessons?
Private Pilates lessons (in-studio and virtual) must be cancelled at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment to keep your session credit. Late cancels and no-shows forfeit the lesson.

Other Questions

Can I request no hands-on adjustments?
Absolutely. If you prefer no hands-on touch or only verbal cueing, let us know before class or email the studio. We’ll add a note to your account so all instructors are aware of your preference.
What equipment do you use in the studio?
We teach on authentic Gratz apparatus, built to Joseph Pilates’ original specifications. This supports the integrity of Classical Pilates and the results you feel in your posture, strength, and core.
