What to Expect at Breakthrough Pilates
Starting Pilates shouldn’t feel confusing, performative, or intimidating.
Many people who come to us are coming back from an injury, finishing physical therapy, brand new to Pilates, or simply tired of fitness spaces that feel random and disconnected from their actual body.
You won’t be thrown into a chaotic workout here. We meet you where you are, and we build from there.

Everything we do follows a structured, leveled system rooted in the classical method. You are not guessing your way through class. You will know what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how to progress.

Our class system is built to help you move forward with clarity. As your control, understanding, and consistency improve, your work evolves with you.
Rooted in the Classical Work
We work closely with the Romana’s Pilates International training program and teach from a clear system that builds on itself. This is not a mix of styles.
Real Bodies Welcome
We work with injuries, post-PT bodies, seniors, beginners, and people who need intelligent, attentive teaching. This is not about keeping up. It is about learning the work well.
This is a place to begin well.

What Happens in a Session ›
Whether you’re in a private lesson or a small group class, the goal is the same: clear teaching, thoughtful progression, and work that actually connects to your body.
Private Lessons
One-on-one. Fully tailored. This is where your program is built and where we can work most directly with injuries, limitations, or specific goals.
Small Group Classes
Capped at 5 clients. Structured work, individual corrections, and a calm room where you are still seen.
Livestream Sessions
Real-time instruction and live feedback. Not a follow-along video.
Your First Visit ›
Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your appointment time, studio details, and entry instructions.
- New to Pilates: Start with an intro offer, private lesson, or beginner-friendly small group option.
- Coming in with injuries or limitations: A private lesson is usually the best place to start.
- Not in Los Angeles: You can join us live online or schedule a virtual private.

Arriving at the Studio ›
We’re located at 7494 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 202, West Hollywood. Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early for your first visit.
- Use the 4-digit entry code in your confirmation email.
- If the keypad doesn’t respond right away, give it a moment to reset.
- Street and metered parking are available. Limited studio parking may also be available across the street.
What to Wear + Bring ›
- Wear fitted, comfortable clothes you can move in.
- Grip socks are required. We have them at the studio if you need a pair.
- Bring water and let us know about any injuries, surgeries, or current concerns before class begins.
Hands-On Work + Comfort ›
We use light, intentional hands-on guidance to improve alignment and help you understand the work more clearly. If you prefer verbal cueing only, just let us know. We will always respect that.
After Your Session ›
Most people leave feeling more connected, more organized, and clearer in their body. Your instructor can help you decide what makes sense next, whether that is another private, a small group class, or a more consistent training rhythm.
